. With their orange-tinged skin and shell and crimson eyes, they are stunning. Unfortunately, just like all other albino creatures, they are as vulnerable as they are beautiful.
One of the most uncommon turtle morphs in the world is the Albina Rhinoclemmys pulcherrima, popularly referred to as the Painted Wood Turtle. They are primarily found in Central America and along the west coast of Mexico.

Albino tortoises usually have an orange or yellow tint because at least one pigment is always present, making it nearly impossible for them to be white.
Albinism: What is it?
Albinism is characterized by pigment-free eyes, skin, and hair. Recessive alleles from both parents combine and are inherited by the progeny. Mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and amphibians can experience this.
Many people are talking about a pink-bellied albino turtle named Hope. In addition to being an albino, this peculiar creature was born with her heart beating externally. Aqua Mike, her owner, has continued to take care of her even after she became famous on the internet. In November, Hope turned one, and we expect many more birthdays to come.
One officer clarified that albino turtles come in a variety of species. Pink belly side necks are known to have pink on them when not albino, but that color is retained in the albino variant as well! “Some appear to be a solid yellow with few patterns on their turtle shells, similar to a red-eared slider, but that color persists in the albino variant as well!”
“Albino turtles are lovely animals,” he added. They do require a little extra care because, when they’re young, their reduced vision may make it difficult for them to find food in their tank. To ensure they are eating enough, they must be transferred to a smaller feeding container with easier access to food.
They no longer require being taken outside of the tank to be fed in a different container once they reach 3″ because they are much more adept at finding food in their habitat.
Melanin, which is responsible for skin pigmentation, cannot be produced by the body in the normal amount as a result of the gene that causes albinism
. Although the gene is inherited by 1 in 75 persons, albinism and related conditions only affect 1 in 17,000. About one in every 10,000 newborn animals has albinism.
